Digital Pages
Easybook M³ Digital Notepad technology , although apparently simple, as it is invisible to the naked eye, is in fact extremely sophisticated as everything takes place in microscopic scale .
Every notepad page is made up of little dots spaced 0.3 mm apart. When combined to form a precise diagram, these dots form a unique frame, the code required by the Easybook M³ Digital Notepad application installed on your computer to interpret your writing.
When you write, the infrared camera in the digital pen literally films the pattern at a rate of 100 images per second to record the precise trace of your writing and convert it into vector type data
Once synchronised, this data is decoded and analysed by the application ready for processing and saving on the PC.
Handwriting Recognition
The DENOS program installed on the computer comes with a powerful character recognition engine. Once your handwriting has been reconstituted, the recognition engine "recognises" the letters and words that you have written in cursive (joined up) or script (detached) format, whether in upper or lower case.
There is no need to follow an imposed handwriting style or to "train" the program to recognise your handwriting style, the handwriting recognition engine is operational from the first time it is used.
Nine European languages are supported by the DENOS program: French, English, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Danish, Dutch and Swedish.

Applications
Handwriting recognition is used by the Easybook® M³ Digital Notepad to manage your handwritten documents and process your notes:
- You can use the Easybook M³ Digital Notepad header to write in a subject, a folder or a date that will be recognised and used to automatically create and file your document in the DENOS database.
- You can use the Easybook M³ Digital Notepad smart margins to select and assign each of your notes in line with its purpose: E-mail message, Microsoft Word document, Reminder, Drawing, etc.
- When searching for handwritten notes : you type in a word and DENOS will find all of the pages where it was written. More information >>
To create a document containing text (e-mail messages, Microsoft Word text or a reminder note) you can choose whether or not to apply handwriting recognition depending on the result you wish to obtain.
